Admissions Process
Sierra Charter School serves students from Fresno and counties adjacent to Fresno County. The Admissions process is complete when an Enrollment Application and supporting documents are accepted and you and your parents/guardians attend an SCS Orientation. (Special Education students must have attended pre-orientation with the Special Ed. Specialist.)
As a new student, you will receive a “starter packet” which is homework that is due at your first teacher appointment.
Your teacher will call you or your parent/guardian to confirm your first appointment shortly after your orientation. At this first appointment, you will also have your official school ID picture taken (and you must keep this ID with you at all times when on campus or at school-related functions). Make sure to bring your school handbook to this first teacher appointment. Finally, you will take an Education Performance test to determine appropriate course placement.
You should expect the first teacher appointment to be at least 2 hours to accomplish all of the items listed above.
