Message From the Principal/CEO
Welcome to our school! I have had the fortunate pleasure of being the Principal of Sierra Charter School since its inception. And that famous saying “You’ve come along way Baby” really applies here! I have seen the school grow in students from twelve to over seven hundred, the staff increase from just me to fifty, and the facilities enlarge from four hundred square feet to over eleven thousand, but the underlying thread that has continued from day one is that everyone that is a part of SCS is committed to the same goal. That goal is to provide the best alternative educational program possible to all the children that choose to attend.
I personally invite you to visit our campus because what you would find is a very non-traditional looking site. Our cottage structured buildings are nestled within a professional business complex. This warm setting creates a “family-like” feeling that is constant throughout our program. Our staff goes that extra mile in working with the students, just like they would with their own children. All students receive one-on-one attention whenever they need it and for as long as they need it. Not one employee is exempt from assisting students. If there is a student in need, someone at SCS will assist them!
As you consider Sierra Charter School as a choice in your child’s education, I want to leave you with one last thought: I love my job, the people I work with and the students that attend our school. That same feeling is conveyed by each and every staff member at Sierra Charter School.
